Recycling of Transformers

Our recycling plant for PCB contaminated electrical equipment in Dortmund, Germany, meets the highest technical and environmental standards. Many transformers can be decontaminated for further use by the LTR2 technology (Low-Temperature Rinsing and Re-Use/Recovery). Of those transformers not suitable for further use, up to 98% of the solid mass of the equipment is recovered with a residual contamination of 2 ppm. Envio also provides full project solutions including removal of the contaminated equipment, delivery and commissioning of new equipment, packing and loading, transport, provision of required permits and recycling certificates.

Envio also offers recycling services for PCB-free transformers, applying the same high environmental and quality standards as for PCB treatment. With the background of the ABB group our recycling technology is uniquely efficient, and particularly for the recycling of large power transformers, our project solutions make Envio a prime supplier of such recycling services.

Site Cleaning, Decontamination and Restoration of Industrial Facilities, Disposal of Hazardous Waste, Consulting

Based on our experience in handling hazardous waste such as PCB, we offer waste disposal and site cleaning services, decontamination, restoration or dismantling of buildings and industrial installations. We have, for instance, dismantled a processing plant for PCB transformers and decommissioned the PCB-filled hydraulics systems of a German state theatre.
