German Tobacco Group AG was established in June of 2006.

The privately-held Frankfurt company is brand owner of the international cigarette brand ‘S.A.L.E.’ which is positioned in the dynamically growing market segment of ‘International Value Brands’ in Germany and Austria.

For purposes of internationalizing the ‘S.A.L.E.’ brand the company pursues strategic alliances, joint-ventures and acquisitions in and outside of Europe.
