november AG is an Erlangen (Germany) based listed biotech company with additional expertise in the field of nanotechnology. Organized as a holding company, the group also includes the subsidiaries identif GmbH (product security & brand protection), directif GmbH (lab independent nucleic acid testing), and PEQLAB Biotechnologie GmbH (biotech R&D supplier). First brand protection products are available since 2002. For diagnostics and based on a patented technology, directif GmbH develops the world’s first fully integrated nucleic acid testing device which will provide fast and cost-efficient detection of pathogens on the genetic level even at the point of care. On a contractual basis, november will participate in the development of a novel immunotherapeutic approach to fight cancer through profit share options. This new therapy is being developed by responsif GmbH, the former therapeutic business unit of november AG whose management conducted a management buy-out in early 2003.
