Versatel AG is a listed company (ffm: VTW) and one of the leading providers of telephone, Internet, and data services for private and business customers on the German market. In the financial year 2009, the company achieved an overall turnover of 734.8 million Euros. Thus, Versatel is the third largest alternative, infrastructure-based telecommunications provider in Germany. The company has a state-of-the-art, high-capacity optical fibre network of more than 45,000 kilometres. Versatel is present, with its own network infrastructure, in 12 of the 16 federal states, as well as in 32 of Germany’s 50 largest cities, and provides customers with its services and products nationwide.
