ABIT übernimmt DAKCS Software Systems Inc. in Utah / USA US-
Marktanteil von ABIT steigt auf 10 Prozent

ABIT übernimmt 100 Prozent der Anteile an DAKCS Software Systems
Inc. in Ogden bei Salt Lake City/Utah. Das Unternehmen entwickelt
Softwarelösungen und bietet Internet Services mit automatischer
Steuerung und Kontrolle des Inkassoverfahrens an. Mit der
Akquisition der DAKCS wird ABIT der drittgrößte Anbieter von
Softwarelösungen im Forderungsmanagement für Inkassohäuser in den
Vereinigten Staaten. Kunden sind vor allem amerikanische
Inkassobüros sowie Großkonzerne aus den Bereichen der
Telekommunikation, Versorger und der Gesundheitsbranche. DAKCS
erzielte im letzten Geschäftsjahr einen Umsatz von umgerechnet rund
8 Mill. DM und ein positives Jahresergebnis. Der Firmengründer Kent
L. Green sowie der Altaktionär Chris Campbell bleiben wie bisher
als President und Executive Vice President im Unternehmen tätig.
Im Juni dieses Jahres erwarb die ABIT bereits die GWA Information
Systems Inc. bei Boston. GWA ist Technologieführer und Anbieter von
ASP-Lösungen für Inkassodienstleistungen. Mit den beiden
Akquisitionen macht ABIT einen weiteren Schritt, die komplette
Bandbreite von Internet Services über das ABIT-Portal e.Pos auf dem
USamerikanischen Markt anzubieten und steigert ihren US-Marktanteil
für Inkasso-Software auf 10 Prozent.

ABIT acquires DAKCS Software Systems Inc. in Utah, USA ABIT US
market shares rises to 10 per cent

ABIT AG is acquiring through a merger, 100 per cent of the shares
in DAKCS Software Systems Inc. in Ogden near Salt Lake City, Utah.
The company develops software solutions and provides Internet
services with automated steering and control of the collection
procedure. With the acquisition of DAKCS, ABIT becomes the third
largest provider of software solutions in debt management for
collection companies in the United States. Customers are primarily
American collection offices and large companies such as
telecommunication companies, utility companies and hospital
facilities. In the last business year, DAKCS achieved a turnover of
the equivalent of around 8 million DM and positive results for the
year. The founder of the company, Kent L. Green and the former
shareholder Chris Campbell will remain active in the company as
President and Executive Vice President.
In June of this year, ABIT acquired GWA Information Systems Inc.
near Boston. GWA is a technology leader and the provider of ASP
solutions for collecting services. With the two acquisitions, ABIT
is taking a further step towards providing the entire spectrum of
Internet services on the American market via the ABIT portal e.Pos
and is increasing its US market share for collecting software to 10
percent.
