Austria Mikro Systeme International: Ergebnis 1. bis 3. Quartal
1999
Auftragseingänge: Ungebrochenes Wachstum seit 4 Quartalen
Die positive Entwicklung bei den Auftragseingängen hielt auch im
3. Quartal 1999 weiter an. Mit 322,7 MATS im 3. Quartal lagen
die Auftragseingänge um 9,5% über dem Vorquartal. Damit konnte
Mag. Hans Jörg Kaltenbrunner, Vorsitzender des Vorstandes der
Austria Mikro Systeme International: “Die erfolgreiche operative
Austria Mikro Systeme International 839,5 MATS
(Vorjahreszeitraum: 919,6 MATS). Das Jahresergebnis erreichte
einen Wert von -22,4 MATS (Vorjahreszeitraum: 17,6 MATS).
Mag. Johann Stritzelberger, Mitglied des Vorstandes: Die
deutlich über dem Branchenschnitt liegende Eigenmittelquote von
63,2% sowie die hohe Nettoliquidität des Unternehmens stellen
eine solide Kapitalstruktur für zukünftige Investitionen dar”.
SiGe-BiCMOS: Zukunftsweisende Prozeßtechnologie für
Hochfrequenzanwendungen
Automobilelektronik an. Dipl.Ing. Dr. Wolfgang Pribyl, Mitglied
des Vorstandes: “Austria Mikro Systeme International ist es als
weltweit erstem ASIC-Anbieter gelungen, diese Technologie einem
breiten Anwenderkreis zugänglich zu machen”. Im Rahmen des Multi-
Produkt-Waferterminplans 2000 bietet Austria Mikro Systeme
International insgesamt 7 Starttermine für den neuen SiGe-BiCMOS
Prozeß an.

quarter, order entries were 9.5% above the previous quarter.
This is therefore the fourth consecutive quarter which has shown
growth. In additon, the shortfall of 60 MATS still existing as
at 30th June 1999 has now been eradicated. Compared on a yearly
basis, order entries in the first three quarters, at ATS 893.5
million, were slightly above the level of the corresponding
period in the previous year (ATS 892.9 million).
Commenting on the Companys performance Hans Jörg Kaltenbrunner,
President and CEO of Austria Mikro Systeme International said:
“The internal measures carried out in recent months to bring
about a new technological focus and organisational orientation
coupled with the positive developments in the semiconductor
market, should position Austria Mikro Systeme International for
continued growth”.
Results: Quarterly result improved again
Despite increased expenditure for research and development,
particularly for new projects, results for the 3rd quarter again
showed an improvement on the previous quarter, confirming the
positive trend which began to emerge at the 2nd quarter.
In the first three quarters of 1999, the sales revenue of
Austria Mikro Systeme International decreased by 8.7% to ATS
839.5 million (1-9 1998: ATS 919.6 million).

are well above the international average for the industry. This
represents a sound capital structure for future investments”.
SiGe-BiCMOS: Cutting edge process technology for high-frequency
circuits
The successful conclusion of development works on the SiGe-
BiCMOS* technology gives Austria Mikro Systeme International a
cutting edge process technology for high-frequency applications
for the mobile communications technology, high-speed data
transmission and automotive electronics. Wolfgang Pribyl, member
of the Board commented: “Austria Mikro Systeme International is
the first ASIC supplier to make this technology available to a
broad user base”.
As part of the multi-product wafer schedule plan 2000, Austria
Mikro Systeme International is offering seven starting dates for
the new SiGe-BiCMOS process.
