‘AQA total – powered by IQ-Technology’.
Operatives Ergebnis deutlich gesteigert
erscheinen.

AQA total speeds up domestic technology
The business area of Domestic Technology benefited above all from
the world invention ‘AQA total – powered by IQ-Technology’. During
the first nine months, turnover generated with this product already
amounted to ATS 159 million. AQA total is the first scientifically
proven limescale protection technology, which without the use of salt
and chemicals offers guaranteed protection from limescale for pipe
systems, water heaters and household goods. At present, AQA total is
marketed in Austria, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. Market launch in
Italy and France is planned for this year.
The above-average sales increase in Project Engineering is due to the,
at the end of last year and as of 1.1.1998, respectively, newly
consolidated companies ‘Aqua Engineering’ and ‘Kennicott Water Systems’.
Analysed by country, the Austrian companies were able to achieve an
improvement of 9%, the German companies achieved 16%. Belgium (+26%) and
Eastern Europe (+40%) grew significantly above group average; turnover
increase in France at 5% is also satisfactory business area to 5%.
Significant rise in operating result
Operating profit +78.5%, earnings from ordinary operating
activities +30.1%, net profit +48.9%
Despite significant advertising activities for AQA total, the operating
profit was increased to ATS 171.5 million, compared with ATS 96.1 million
(+78.5%) in the previous year. Earnings from ordinary activities at
ATS 157.7 million, however, were 30.1% above the previous year’s level
(ATS 121.2 million). Net profit for the first nine months amounted to
ATS 117.3 million (previous year: ATS 78.8 million).
Target for 1998 unchanged at group turnover of 3.1 billion
The attainment of our target of over 18% turnover growth for 1998 and an
ÖVFA result of ATS 220 million continues to be realistic in light of
developments during the business year so far and a satisfactory order
situation.
