Für den Inhalt der Mitteilung ist allein der Emittent verantwortlich. —————————————————————————— Ad-hoc release Eurobike reports two-digit sales and pre-tax income growth rates for fiscal 1999/2000 Düsseldorf, November 28, 2000 – Eurobike AG, Düsseldorf, has successfully concluded the financial year ended September 30, 2000. According to preliminary figures, Group sales increased by 24.5% to DM 525.6 million (DM 422.2 million), with the Groups income before tax improving 20.2% to DM 35.1 million (DM 29.2 million). “In view of the very good start to fiscal 2000/2001, we expect another significant two-digit sales increase and a further improvement in income for next year,” forecast Herbert Will, Chairman of the Management Board. In the past financial year, the Group generated strong sales increases both in Germany and abroad. Again according to preliminary figures, foreign markets contributed 31.1% or DM 163.8 million to Group sales, compared to 17.1% in 1998/99, with Intersport Fashion West, the US subsidiary, and the British and French subsidiaries making particularly strong contributions. With sales of DM 373.4 million, retail remained the most important business segment. The wholesale business contributed DM 152.2 million. “We are extremely satisfied with our business development in 1999/2000. We significantly improved our sales growth rate, which has been in the double digits for over ten years now, and achieved the same growth rate for our income before tax,” continued Herbert Will. In the first two months of the new financial year, domestic and foreign retail business reported very good growth rates, while early orders in the wholesale business got off to a good start. The integration of DIFI Dierk Filmer GmbH, the Varel-based company acquired last summer, is proceeding according to plan.
