GEDYS und BEMI schließen Vertriebskooperation e-business für den
Mittelstand
Braunschweig, 25. Februar 2000 – Die GEDYS Internet Products AG und die
BEMI Computer Marketing GmbH, Braunschweig, haben heute einen
Kooperationsvertrag für den Vertrieb der GEDYS Standardprodukte
geschlossen. Die GEDYS e-products werden künftig von 325 BEMI-Partnern
angeboten.
“Mit dieser strategischen Kooperation stärken wir entscheidend unser
Geschäft mit kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen (KMU)”, sagt
Ralf Geishauser, Sprecher des Vorstandes der GEDYS AG und
verantwortlich für den Produktbereich Groupware. Den Ausbau des KMU-
Geschäfts hat sich auch der GEDYS-Partner Lotus Development GmbH,
Ismaning, als Geschäftsziel 2000 gesteckt. “Das BEMI-Partnernetz
ergänzt optimal unseren indirekten Vertriebskanal mit bisher 74
europäischen Partner-Unternehmen”, erklärt Ralf Geishauser. Der Verbund
der BEMI Einkaufs- und Marketinggesellschaft umfasst insgesamt ein
Einkaufsvolumen von 580 Millionen Mark.
Zum Start der Partnerschaft wird den 325 BEMI-Systemhäusern und –
Facheinzelhändlern ein attraktives Einsteigerpaket für den KMU-Markt
zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Vertriebskooperation erstreckt sich
zunächst auf die Produkte GEDYS Office und GEDYS Helpdesk. GEDYS bietet
den BEMI-Partnern mit inzwischen 14 praxiserprobten Groupware-
Standardlösungen ein umfangreiches Anwendungsspektrum unter anderem für
Korrespondenz, Vertrieb, Projektmanagement und Personalwesen.
“Die Erweiterung unserer Produktpalette um die GEDYS Produkte bedeutet
für unsere Partnerunternehmen einen attraktiven Einstieg in den e-
business Markt”, erklärt Hans-Richard Reiners, Geschäftsführer von
BEMI. “Von einem der größten europäischen Lotus Premier Partner
versprechen wir uns vor allem die Erschließung neuer Kundenpotentiale.
Die Händler profitieren neben den Produktumsätzen auch von attraktiven
Dienstleistungsumsätzen”, erklärt Reiners.
GEDYS Internet Products AG ist ein Hersteller von “e-business
Produkten”. In seinen beiden Geschäftsfeldern “Groupware” und “New
Media” beschäftigt GEDYS derzeit 140 Mitarbeiter. Mit “e-products”
können Unternehmen, unabhängig von Branche und Größe, komplexe
Unternehmensprozesse zukunftssicher unter Einbindung des Internets
abbilden und bisher ungenutzte Rationalisierungspotentiale ausschöpfen.
12.500 Installationen sind bereits beim Kunden installiert. Vermarktet
werden die e-products europaweit über autorisierte Partner.
Strategische Partnerschaften bestehen mit Lotus, IBM, Intershop und
Psion. GEDYS wurde 1989 in Braunschweig gegründet und hat
Tochtergesellschaften und Vertriebsstellen in Hennef, Paderborn,
Dortmund, Mannheim, München, Wien, Amsterdam, Paris und London.

GEDYS and BEMI conclude sales cooperation agreement e-business for
small to medium-sized companies
Braunschweig, 25 February, 2000 ” Today. GEDYS Internet Products AG and
BEMl Computer Marketing GmbH, Braunschweig, concluded a sales
cooperation agreement for standard GEDYS products. In future, the GEDYS
e-products will be sold via 325 BEMl partners.
“With this strategic cooperation, we will decisively strengthen our
business with small to medium-sized companies”, says Ralf Geishauser,
Spokesman of the Board of Management of GEDYS AG, who is responsible
for the Groupware Product Division. Expanding the company’s business
with small to medium-sized companies is also the corporate aim of the
GEDYS partner, Lotus Development GmbH, Ismaning, for 2000. “The BEMI
network rounds off perfectly our former indirect sales channel with 74
European partner companies”, explains Ralf Geishauser. Altogether, the
BEMl purchasing and marketing company has a buying power amounting to
approximately DM 580 million,
To launch the partnership, GEDYS will make an attractive starter
package for small to medium-sized businesses available to the 325 BEMl
system companies and dealers. Initially, the sales cooperation covers
the following products: GEDYS Office and GEDYS Helpdesk. With a total
of 14 tried and tested standard groupware solutions, GEDYS offers the
BEMl partners a comprehensive user spectrum for, inter alia,
correspondence, sales, project management and personnel administration.
“For our partner companies, expanding our range of products and
services to include GEDYS products means an interesting entry into the
e-business market”, explains Hans-Richard Reiners, General Manager of
BEMI. “We anticipate that working together with one of the biggest
Lotus Premier Partners in Europe will open the door to a new customer
potential. In addition to the product sales, the dealers also profit
from attractive service sales”, says Reiners.
GEDYS Internet Products AG is a producer of ‘e-business products’. At
present the company employs 140 people in its two business fields,
‘Groupware’ and ‘New Media”. Using ‘e-products’, companies – regardless
of sector or size – can present complex corporate processes in a future-
oriented way via the Internet and take advantage of previously unused
rationalisation possibilities. To date, some 12,500 installations have
already been carried out for customers. Authorised dealers market the e-
products throughout Europe. So far, strategic partnerships have been
formed with Lotus, IBM, Intershop and Psion. GEDYS was founded in
Braunschweig in 1989 and has subsidiaries and sales offices in Hennef,
Paderborn, Dortmund, Mannheim, Munich, Vienna, Amsterdam, Paris and
