K&M Möbel kauft eigene Aktien zurück
Ab sofort Rückerwerb von bis zu 10 % des
Grundkapitals / Nutzung als Akquisitionswährung
vorgesehen
Die K&M Möbel AG, Kirchlengern, startet mit
sofortiger Wirkung den Rückerwerb eigener
Aktien. Die Ermächtigung hierzu wurde im Mai
1999 durch die Aktionäre der Gesellschaft
erteilt und erstreckt sich auf ein Volumen von
bis zu 10 % des Grundkapitals; dies entspricht
1,1 Mio. Aktien. Der führende Hersteller von
Maßküchen und Mitnahmemöbeln beabsichtigt, die
Aktien insbesondere auch als Währung bei
künftigen Akquisitionen einzusetzen. Das
Unternehmen prüft derzeit mehrere Optionen für
die Erweiterung des Kerngeschäfts.
Nach Überzeugung von K&M Möbel liegt der
Unternehmenswert deutlich höher als die
Marktkapitalisierung von derzeit rund 75 Mio.
Euro. “Solange dies der Fall ist, halten wir
den Rückerwerb für ein probates Mittel”, sagte
Finanzvorstand Elisabeth Prigge. Das Umsatz-
und Ertragspotenzial, das in der Eroberung
neuer Marktanteile im Möbelfachhandel stecke,
sei noch nicht hinreichend wahrgenommen worden
und deshalb im Kurs nicht reflektiert.

K&M Möbel to buy back its own shares
Effective immediately, up to 10 per cent of the
Company’s share capital may be bought back to
be used for acquisitions
K&M Möbel AG, Kirchlengern, is launching a
share buyback programme which is effective
immediately. This programme was authorised in
May 1999 through a resolution adopted by the
shareholders of the Company. The maximum is
fixed at 10 per cent of its share capital, or
1.1 million shares. The leading manufacturer of
assembled kitchens and flat-packed furniture
intends to use those shares also especially for
future acquisitions. The company is currently
exploring several options for the expansion of
its core business.
The management of K&M Möbel is convinced that
the Company’s value is considerably higher than
its current market capitalisation of around
75 million euros. “As long as this is the case,
we consider share buybacks appropriate,” says
Elisabeth Prigge, the Company’s Chief Financial
Officer. According to Ms. Prigge, the revenue
and earnings potential stemming from the
capturing of further market shares in the
specialised furniture trade has not yet been
adequately perceived and is therefore not
reflected in the share price.
