mb Software wächst dynamisch
– Quartalsumsatz plus 119 %

Hameln, 26. Januar 2000 – Bei der mb Software AG hat sich das Wachstum im 3.
Quartal des Geschäftsjahres 1999/2000 beschleunigt. Nach vorläufigen Angaben
stieg der Umsatz im Vergleich zum Vorjahresquartal (Oktober bis Dezember 1998)
um 119 % auf 34,1 Mio. DM. Gegenüber dem 2. Quartal (Juli – September 1999)
ergibt sich ein Plus von 114 %. In den ersten neun Monaten des Geschäftsjahres
setzte mb Software insgesamt 62,6 Mio. DM um, was einer Steigerung von 25 %
gegenüber dem gleichen Vorjahreszeitraum entspricht.
“Die Investitionen im Internet-Business zahlen sich nun aus”, sagte der
Vorstandsvorsitzende Bernhard Mursch. Die äußerst guten Umsatzzahlen bildeten
eine solide Basis für weitere Investitionen in diesem Bereich. Die von mb
entwickelte 02C-Technologie zur dreidimensionalen Darstellung animierter Objekte
im Internet steht laut Mursch vor dem entscheidenden Durchbruch im Business-to-
Business-Bereich (B2B). Das Interesse von Unternehmen an 02C zur Unterstützung
ihrer Geschäftsbeziehungen im Internet wachse ständig. Mursch erwartet, dass mb
Software ihren Technologievorsprung bei der 3D-Visualisierung für das Internet
weiter ausbaut. Die Grundlage dafür bilde das großes Entwicklungspotential des
Unternehmens: Inzwischen seien ein Drittel der etwa 600 mb-Mitarbeiter mit der
Entwicklung von innovativen Produkten beschäftigt. Der vollständige

Hameln, January 26, 2000 – At mb Software AG, economic growth has accelerated
during the third quarter of the fiscal year 1999/2000. Compared to the same
quarter of the preceding year (October to December 1998), preliminary
information is pointing towards a turnover raised by 119% to 34.1 million DM.
In comparison to the second quarter (July – September 1999), a plus of 114%
results. In the first nine months of the fiscal year, mb reached a total
turnover of 62.6 million DM corresponding to a raise of 25% as compared to the
same period of the previous year.
‘Investments in the Internet-Business are paying off now’ said Bernhard Mursch,
chairman of the managing board. These extremely good figures formed a solid
basis for further investing in this segment. According to Mursch, the
02C-technology, developed by mb for the three-dimensional representation of
animated objects in the Internet, has reached the point of imminent breakthrough
in the business-to-business-segment (B2B). Enterprises are showing continuously
growing interest in 02C as a means of enhancing their business activities in the
Internet.
Mursch is expecting mb Software to further expand their technological advantage
in 3-D visualization for the Internet. The great human potential in development
forms the basis for this. Right now, one third of the 600 employees is involved
with the development of innovative products. The comprehensive quarterly report
by mb Software AG will be published on February 29, 2000.
