The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– TRAFFIC STATISTICS FOR AUSTRIAN AIRLINES GROUP JANUARY TO SEPTEMBER 2001 As the September 2001 traffic statistics show, the recent tragic events in the US have already begun to have an effect on the volume of passengers carried. Compared to the corresponding month the previous year, the passenger volume for the airlines of the Austrian Airlines Group (Austrian Airlines, Lauda Air, Tyrolean Airways and Rheintalflug) fell by a total of 6.1 %. With more than 6.7 million passengers, however, the cumulative result for the nine-month period from January to September 2001 still shows an increase of 1.6 %. While the number of available seat kilometres on scheduled services saw a slight rise of 0.7 %, revenue passenger kilometres increased by 3.2 %.
