BBAGs main focus during the year 2001 was the consolidation strategy for all
three divisions. The integration of the newly acquired breweries focused on the
one hand on the legal consolidation. But also the internal structures have been
harmonised with the aim of creating an efficient organisation that is in a
position to meet the requirements of the individual markets. Sales divisions
have been merged, some new packaging and bottle shapes have been introduced and
the respective portfolios have been adjusted to the various brands.
As far as non-alcoholic beverages are concerned, the focus is on the targeted
positioning of Pago in dynamic fruit juice markets, and on positioning Gasteiner
as a growth brand in the premium range. In the real estate business, BBAG
pursues its known strategy further, i.e. a simplification of the corporate
structure with the aim of achieving more transparency and flexibility.
BBAGs aim for 2002 is to further add value by focussing on for aspects: a
further strengthening of brands and the position in the various markets, a
consistent use of synergies, and herewith the increase of profitability.
