Biodata Office in Nuremberg Sold
Insolvency administration transfers operative business to former management.
Lichtenfels, 19 February, 2002. – Under management of the former director, the
Biodata office in Nuremberg with its R&D team takes up operative business as
GateWare Communications GmbH. The sales contract was signed by the insolvency
administration of Biodata Information Technology AC and the new associates. In
regard to the purchase price both parties maintained silence.
Biodata had acquired the Nuremberg-based R&D specialists in high-speed
encryption on 1 January 2001. With practically the same staff the newly founded
GateWare Communications GmbH concentrates on remittance work for third-party
customers. Presently, there are 11 employees at the location. The high-speed
encryption platform BroadCipher remains the company’s core competency. Head of
the new firm is Mr Wolfgang Haubner, the subsidiary’s former director. Next to
Haubner, the company’s associates are R&D directors Mr Torsten Grawunder and
Mr Michael Schwitzer.
