ComputerLinks on schedule after nine months
The IT marketing company ComputerLinks AG, Munich, which is listed on the Neuer
Markt, increased its group turnover in the 3rd quarter 2001 by 16% to a total of
39 million euro, compared with the same quarter last year. In the last quarter
the Group achieved an EBITDA of 2.3 million euro (same quarter last year: 3.1
million euro). With these results ComputerLinks is within the revised planned
figures for the entire business year 2001.
ComputerLinks AG increased its group turnover by 68 % from 70.8 million euro to
119 million euro in the first nine months of this year. Thus we have already
exceeded the total sales of last year of 111.5 million euro.
The strength of the US dollar and the pressure due to increasing competition in
a weak economic environment have resulted in a reduction of gross profit
margins. Correspondingly, earnings from operations before interest, taxes,
depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) went up by 42% from 5.9 million euro to
8.4 million euro, representing a lower percentage increase than that of the
turnover. Goodwill amortisation due to acquisitions reduced Group earnings by
3.5 million euro in the first nine months of this year. Taking into account a
small financial cost of 0.2 million euro the Company has posted earnings before
tax (EBT) in the amount of 3.7 million euro compared with 3.9 million euro in
the comparable period last year. Cash flow (in accordance with DVFA/SG) at 5.8
million euro exceeded the equivalent sum of 4.8 million euro last year.
ComputerLinks achieved earnings per share of 0.84 euro before goodwill
amortisation and 0.23 euro after goodwill amortisation, based on 5,852,304
shares. In the comparable period in the prior year, EPS before goodwill
amortisation was 0.80 euro and 0.42 euro after goodwill amortisation, based on
5,261,902 shares outstanding at that time.
Ray French will resign as a member of the Supervisory Board on December 17,
2001.
We anticipate an upturn in the IT-sector in the course of the year 2002. On the
basis of our revised planned figures we still believe that we will reach the
turnover forecast for the Group amounting to 159 million euro and an EBITDA of
11 million euro for the entire business year 2001.
