H5B5 Media AG has sold the TV rights of the documentary series The Biggest Step
to the german television market leader RTL Television, who now holds the rights
for the german speaking territories. This international prime time-format,
developed by H5B5 similar to that of Walking with Dinosaurs, is a co-production
with FOX Television Studios. The production costs amount to 12 Mio $US. The
package includes a 5 part series (5 x 60 min.) and an accompanied documentary (5
x 30 min.).

By producing the Biggest Step, H5B5 Media AG has become the first german media
company to break in to the american TV market with this kind of production. The
H5B5s graphic department Circles & Lines has become a leader in the area of
cutting-edge computer animation. This unique program is a complete inhouse
production of H5B5 Media AG. The launch of the 5 part series is planned for 2002
in the USA on The Fox Network. This daring series will delve deep into the
origins of humanity. It will follow the very first two-legged creatures on their
way to becoming contemporary Homo sapiens. With astounding realism, The Biggest
Step will reveal what the cradle of humanity looked like as well as the often
brutal dangers to which our ancestors were exposed. The latest research by
leading scientists in this field, combined with ground-braking computer image
technology, will take the audience back millions of years to experience a world
long gone in which our ancestors struggled to survive.
