Dr. Klaus Manz remains CFO of IN-motion AG – Kirk D’Amico focuses on film
productions and resigns from the IN-motion AG Executive Board
Frankfurt am Main, April 23, 2002 – Following a thorough review, the
Supervisory Board of IN-motion AG, Frankfurt, has rejected the offer of Klaus
Manz to step down from his position as CFO. With his offer, Manz had taken
responsibility for the delay in the preparation of the financial statements for
the fiscal year 2000/2001, which has led to the termination of the admission of
the IN-motion shares to the Neuer Markt. According to the view of the
Supervisory Board, the delay is not based on a relevant liability of the
Executive Board, but has rather reasons outside the company. The termination of
the admission of IN-motion AG shares to the Neuer Markt is subject to the
decision of the Primary Markets Arbitration Panel, which has not scheduled a
hearing date yet.
Furthermore, Kirk D’Amico decided to resign from the Executive Board with
immediate effect. D’Amico’s position as President of Myriad Pictures, the
production and distribution company of the IN-motion group in Los Angeles, is
unaffected by the move. In agreement with the Executive and Supervisory Board
of IN-motion AG, D’Amico will focus on the increased production activities
within the group’s movie and TV section. Philip von Alvensleben will be solely
responsible for this segment of the IN-motion group.
Such increase became possible with an USD 100 million revolving credit line
with Comerica Entertainment Group, Beverly Hills. The current line up of
pictures in the development or pre-production phase include the epic
adventure “Borgia”, written and to be directed by Academy Award winner Neil
Jordan. Other projects include “Imagining Argentina” starring Antonio Banderas
and Emma Thompson, written and to be directed by Academy Award winner
Christopher Hampton. In addition, further five titles and “Jeepers Creepers 2”
will be produced together with Francis Ford Coppola’s production company
American Zoetrope.
