The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Kleindienst: Distinctly positive net income in 2002 In fiscal 2002, the Kleindienst Datentechnik group generated revenues of EUR 75.3 million (previous year EUR 75.1 million) and an EBIT of EUR 7.0 million (previous year EUR minus 2.0 million), thereof EUR 4.0 million from ordinary operations and EUR 3.0 million as a non-recurring income. The objective of the company to reach a positive EBIT was clearly exceeded. Net income amounts to EUR 6.1 million (2001: EUR minus 4.2 million), net income per share (DVFA/SG) which disregards the non-recurring income, is EUR 0.78 (previous year EUR minus 1.14). The non-recurring income of EUR 3.0 million results from the corporate structure transaction of the operating segment Outsourcing Service in which DZ BANK AG has been involved. From the point of view of the parties concerned, neither of the two gained an asset advantage. However, US GAAP requires an accounting treatment leading to a positive effect on net income. In the traditionally strong 4th quarter, the group generated revenues of EUR 21.9 million (previous year EUR 24.9 million) and an EBIT (without non-recurring income) of EUR 3.3 million (2001: EUR 3.9 million without non-recurring income). As a result of a strong net cash flow provided by operating activities of EUR 13.2 million (previous year EUR 4.5 million) net bank debt of the group was reduced by EUR 10.8 million to EUR 2.3 million at the end of fiscal 2002. In 2002 total order value amounted to EUR 31.8 million (previous year EUR 40.2 million), as of 1 January 2003 orders on hand were at EUR 10.5 million (previous year EUR 16.2 million). Both previous year values have been benefiting from a major order. At present, the managing board expects consolidated revenues at the same level as last year and again a clearly positive EBIT for the fiscal year 2003.
