The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Lambda Physik reports postponement of lithography order resulting in the reduction of fiscal 2001 sales forecast down from expected EUR 140 million Göttingen/Germany, September 3, 2001. Lambda Physik AG (Neuer Markt, SIN 549 427) has had an order postponed by a lithography customer. In view of excess capacity that customers have available, the deliveries planned for the 4th quarter have been postponed until fiscal 2002. The company continues to expect sales in fiscal 2001 (ending Sep. 30) to increase substantially by 30 to 35 percent year-on-year, thereby exceeding the sales growth forecast at the IPO. However, due to this further postponement of a lithography order, the sales forecast increased in April to EUR 140 million cannot be reached any longer. Due to the ongoing weakness in the semiconductor industry the management board cannot in addition rule out the possibility that other orders may be postponed before the end of the quarter.
