The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Berlin, 28.09.2001 +++ At the press- and analyst conference held today Lobster Network Storage AG presented its annual report 2000/01 (30.06.2001, US-GAAP). The company recorded net sales of DMm 25,9 (prior year: DMm 25,0 +4%), an EBITDA of minus DMm 5,0 (py: minus DMm 9,6 -48%) and a net-loss of minus DMm 11,1 (py: minus DMm 12,9 14%). Earnings per share amounted to minus DM 5,73 per share (py: minus DM 7,03 per share, -19%). In the segment ‘project business’ the company saw sales growth of 141% to DMm 15,1 (py: DMm 6,2). In the segment ‘reseller business’ sales reduced by 42% from DMm 18,7 to DMm 10,9 in line with plan. The 2000/01 annual accounts include non-operating charges of approx. DMm 5 associated with write-off of goodwill and other assets as well as restructuring costs for the wholly-owned subsidiary Novotec. Cash reserves amounted to DMm 4,6 on balance-sheet date. From now onwards the company will report its results in Euro. For the current first quarter of the fiscal year 2001/02 the company forecasts net sales of roughly Eurom 3,3 and an EBITDA of minus Eurom 0,4 (py: Eurom 3,1 and minus 0,5 respectively). The achievement of break-even performance is forecast for the fourth quarter. Planned net sales for the total year 2001/02 amount to Eurom 18,9. EBITDA for the total year is forecast at minus Eurom 0,7.
