The bank's Aa2 rating reflects Jyske Bank's strong liquidity position, the
currently good credit quality and the bank's capacity to encounter potential
losses due to a general slowdown in the Danish economy. 

The decision to change the outlook is primarily based on the deteriorated
economic prospects in Denmark and concerns about the development of the credit
quality and pressure on Jyske Bank's earnings over the coming years.

We share the concern of Moody's about the economic outlook in Denmark. All
things being equal, a slowdown in economic activity in Denmark will for the
financial institutions result in lower earnings due to a lower level of
activity and larger credit losses in the coming years. 

Jyske Bank has already through a number of decisions taken in 2008 made
preparations to meet these challenges and in future we will take the further
initiatives dictated by the market conditions to support Jyske Bank's ratings.
