The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— President Tarkett AG November 18th, 2005 Tarkett and SONAE Industria conclude laminate-joint venture Nanterre/Maia – Tarkett, a European based flooring company and SONAE Industria, a European wood based panel company concluded a joint venture agreement to produce and sale laminate floorings in Western Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania. Owned 50% by each partner, the joint venture will include an existing wood panel factory of SONAE Industria in Eiweiler, Germany, to be extended to produce laminate floorings. By combining their expertise, respectively in the wood panel industry for SONAE Industria and in the flooring industry for Tarkett, the two partners will operate jointly on the aforementioned growing laminate markets. This joint venture is subject to the clearance from the European Commission pursuant merger control.
