The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Tarkett S.A. determines cash compensation to be set at EUR 16.35 per share Tarkett S.A., Nanterre, France, today concretized its request to bring about a resolution in the ordinary shareholders’ meeting of Tarkett AG scheduled for 20 June 2005 according to which the shares of the minority freefloat of Tarkett AG shall be transferred to Tarkett S.A. against granting of an adequate cash compensation and informed the Management Board of Tarkett AG that pursuant to sec. 327b of the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG) the cash compensation was set at EUR 16.35 per non-par value bearer share in Tarkett AG. Such cash compensation corresponds to the weighted average stock exchange price of Tarkett AG shares in the three month period preceding the publication of the ad-hoc notification of Tarkett AG dated 28 February 2005 regarding the Squeeze-Out intended by Tarkett S.A.
