ARCHEA Biogas N.V. / Miscellaneous Release of a Corporate News, transmitted by DGAP - a company of EquityStory AG. The biogas plant will be located in the Lower Saxony municipality of Bilshausen near Göttingen. Construction approval, as well as agreements concerning the plant’s operations, is in hand. A locally committed entrepreneur and agriculturalist, who has significantly promoted the project for a long time, has been engaged as project manager. Additional preliminary work on the building of the plant is in full swing. Completion is foreseen for the end of 2008. After the start-up phase, the biogas plant will go into full load, continuous operation in early summer 2009. The plant, outfitted with an electrical capacity of 536 kW, will produce approximately 4.2 million kW of environmentally friendly electricity per year. This corresponds to the consumption of over 1,000 three-person households. The heat resulting from the biogas plant is to be made available to consumers in the immediate surroundings. The heat concept is still in the planning phase, and will likely be implemented in the summer of 2009. In addition to maize silage, the Plant can also be operated on grass silage, liquid manure, animal solids, and such. The incidental digested residue is considered valuable fertiliser for both agricultural and private uses (gardens). The total investment in the Bilshausen biogas plant amounts to just 3 million Euros. The capital is being raised through abakus balance GmbH & Co. 2. KG, an investment fund in Grünwald, near Munich, close to abakus Finanz GmbH. On this issue, the Managing Director of abakus Finanz GmbH, Mr. Hans-Martin Herbel, says: 'Through our investment in the Bilshausen biogas plant, we are further diversifying our overall portfolio. This reduces the entrepreneurial risk for our investors and at the same time stabilises our earnings prospects, as we apply Harry Markowitz’s Nobel Prize-winning portfolio theory. abakus balance GmbH & Co. 2. KG has invested 25 million Euro of capital to date, and, by the end of 2008, this will reach approximately 33 million Euros.' Further information can be found on-line at www.abakusfonds.de.
