Brightpoint, Inc. 19.10.2010 14:00 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 19, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brightpoint, Inc. (Nasdaq:CELL) today announced that its subsidiary Brightpoint Germany GmbH ('Brightpoint') is expanding their existing relationship with E-Plus Group. Brightpoint, who has closely collaborated with E-Plus Group on the smartphone and the mobile telecom accessory markets, is stepping up its cooperation with the mobile telecommunications specialist headquartered in Dusseldorf. The expansion will cover supply chain solutions including reverse logistics and a new, innovative concept to handle the return logistics for E-Plus mobile phones in Germany. The move is a clear indication of the E-Plus Group's commitment to conserve our resources and preserve the environment, specifically by means of recycling, reconditioning and utilisation of used mobile telecom devices. 'Brightpoint is pleased to continue and expand our relationship with E-Plus Group,' said Anurag Gupta, President of Brightpoint Europe, Middle East and Africa. 'We look forward to serving German customers with our industry leading supply chain service infrastructure and capabilities.' About the E-Plus Group The E-Plus Group is the challenger on the German mobile communications market. Simple services tailored to customer needs and a major reduction in call and data charges can be traced back to the initiative of the third-largest mobile network operator in Germany. As a result of innovative business models, modern structures and strong partnerships the E-Plus Group was able to significantly strengthen its market position and show a more dynamic and profitable development than the market. Since 2005 E-Plus Mobilfunk GmbH and Co. KG has developed into a family of brands offering target group-specific services and thus breaks new ground in mobile communications in Germany. The flat-rate brand BASE and the mobile discounters, simyo and blau, are market leaders in their segments, while the original E-Plus brand offers a range of services to its existing customers. The brand AY YILDIZ addresses the Turkish community in Germany. Vybemobile is aimed to appeal to young music lovers. The partners of the E-Plus Group include many other brands, such as MedionMobile (AldiTalk) and German music TV stations MTV and Viva. Approximately 19.6 million customers are using the network of the E-Plus Group to make calls and send text messages or data. The Group generated annual revenue of EUR 3.2 billion in 2009 and employs more than 2,500 full-time employees in Germany. www.eplus-gruppe.de About Brightpoint, Inc. Brightpoint, Inc.
