Neuwied, 18th December 2001
Effective 2nd January 2002 the Curtis group increased its 50% shareholding in
Eurotrade Business Products Limited to 100%, thus securing its position as THE
major force in the manufacturing and distribution of Envelopes of Tyvek and
specialist mailing and packaging products
As an initiative to both maintain supply and service levels to its European wide
distribution Partners and grow its business with cooperative innovative
marketing actions, Curtis will simultaneously restructure Eurotrade in a joint
venture. The venture partners led by David Stedeford bring collectively 50 years
experience directly related to the marketing of Tyvek and packaging products
and in doing so will acquire 51% of the Company.
Stedeford, to be appointed Managing Director with effect as of that date, will
rename and relaunch the company. In going forward, the companie’s mandate is to
remain as an independent sales organisation and together with its distribution
partners will focus on developing growth opportunities within this market
sector.
The company will remain at its UK base in Chertsey, Surrey and retain existing
communication lines.
