LetsBuyIt Group AG, parent company of the website LetsBuyIt.com, and operating a fully automated online price comparison portal with Social Shopping Services, identifies differences in seasonal buying patterns of LetsBuyIt.com users. Search queries of French, English and German customers of LetsBuyIt.com were compared over a time period from 01.06.2011 to 01.02.2012. While there was a rapid increase in searches (almost 45 percent of all search queries) for seasonal products such as winter tires and winter clothing for German customers, the French had a mounting interest in luxury goods contributing to the personal well-being. As an example, the sale of weekend trips and wellness applications has doubled in comparison to the last three months. Also the demand for designer handbags was notably higher. In contrast, the focus of the users of LetsBuyIt UK is on entertainment electronics - in particular game consoles - and fashion for expecting mothers showing an increase in the click rate by 17 percent. 'We were able to discover interesting search trends in each of the countries, which result clearly from the different needs of the respective nations. These results enable us to align our product data base better to the individual customer needs and thus, to further increase the customer satisfaction.
