Mosaic and Sage have EDI solutions for food industry
Electronic data interchange for Lysell and Wingert Food
Meckenheim/Frankfurt am Main, June 12, 2005 – The two software companies
Mosaic Software and Sage are implementing Electronic Data Interchange
solutions (EDI) especially for the food industry. Two EDI projects have just
been successfully completed with the companies Lysell and Wingert Food. Lysell
GmbH & Co. KG, a supplier of high-quality specialty fish products, together
with Mosaic Software AG and Sage, has implemented electronic data interchange
with what are currently the eight largest trading partners: Edeka, Globus,
Kaufland, Markant, Metro, Rewe, Netto and Spar. Connection of the eight
partners came about in just two months. Based on the Sage Office Line
merchandise information system, a connection was made between Office Line and
the partner’s EDIFACT interfaces, allowing data interchange in both
directions.
Successful cooperation with Unilever at Wingert Food
The market giant Unilever already expects all suppliers to label deliveries
with a so-called shipment number (NVE) for each package and thus a qualified
electronic dispatch notification, which confirms a delivery. Wingert Foods,
the ready-made meals manufacturer in Mehrkammerschalen adapted Sage Office
Line together with Mosaic and Sage to meet Unilever requirements. Wingert Food
customers include the food retail industry, in which Wingert products are
sold under the name “Wingert Foods”, as well as industrial customers for whom
the company functions as a “co-packer”. For Unilever, Wingert produces ready-
made meals for the brand “Du Darfst” for example.
