Northrop Grumman Receives Contract to Supply Integrated Navigation Systems for New Tankers in Brazil

The Estaleiro Maua shipyard, near Rio de Janeiro, will build the four ships fordelivery to Transpetro, the shipping arm of Petrobras, the Brazilian state oilcompany. Sperry Marine is supplying a complete VisionMaster FT(TM) IBS, withWideView(TM) high-resolution displays. The system includes a three-nodeelectronic chart display and information system, navigation radars, adaptiveself-tuning autopilot, voyage data recorder, speed and heading sensors, andother navigation components. Sperry Marine's sales and service representativein Brazil, Vision Marine Ltda, will be responsible for installation,commissioning and servicing the equipment on the vessels.
