Sana Kliniken AG denies takeover bid for Rhön
Sana Kliniken AG / Key word(s): Statement/Mergers & Acquisitions Sana Kliniken AG denies takeover bid for Rhön Ismaning/Munich, 24 September 2012 'Sana Kliniken AG does not intend to submit a takeover bid to the shareholders of Rhön Klinikum AG', clarifies Dr Michael Philippi, the Chairman of the Board for Sana Kliniken AG, in response to recent reports in the media about a potential takeover bid. As Philippi explains, the conditions which the Fresenius Group failed to meet remain unchanged. For this reason, submitting a new takeover bid would therefore have no purpose. Of course the shareholders and Board Members of Sana Kliniken AG are involved in the overall situation, but ultimately this involvement is focussed on maintaining the established trust in the private healthcare groups, to support quality-orientated patient care in Germany in a responsible and sustainable way.
