Sinosol AG: signs 34 MW contract with SunWell Solar Corporation

The defined quantity of 34 MWp is for both companies the largest contract for the supply of amorphous thin-film modules to date. After long and successful negotiations the two parties are looking forward to the cooperation, as Sinosol Board Member Sven P. Krug emphasizes: 'Sun Well Solar has met our very strict and critical selection criteria. Sun Well Solar is the right partner for Sinosol AG and will help us to reach our targets in the thin-film segment!' Both parties are convinced that in addition to the outstanding quality of the product, an established and well connected distribution network is required. 'With Sinosol we have a found a strong and established European partner who can support our growth strategy in to the wholesale market as well as in the turn-key market for large PV-plants' said Mr. Sunny Hsu, the Sales and Marketing Director from Sun Well Solar. The Taiwanese manufacturer produces its thin film modules from amorphous silicon. By the end of the year, Sun Well Solar expects to produce tandem modules with a micro-morph crystal structure and with a higher efficiency. 'With this important agreement, we secure access to thin-film modules of the newest generation. The environmentally-friendly technology of Sun Well modules and the high quality of production meet all expectations of Sinosol, its clients and its partners, for a sustainable and reliable use in our project and wholesale business, 'said Karl-Heinz Tönges, who is responsible for thin-film technology within Sinosol AG. Sinosol AG Sinosol-Group is an international provider of photovoltaic systems and solutions as well as a project developer and turn-key solution provider of solar parks. Sinosol has extensive experience in planning and turn-key implementation of numerous international major projects, including for example a 15 MWp solar park in southern Spain. Sun Well Solar Sun Well Solar is a 100% subsidiary of CMC Magnetics Corporation, founded in July 2007. As a leading manufacturer in the field of optical storage media, CMC reacted quickly and decisively to the growing market for the manufacture of thin-film modules. The production facility for thin-film PV modules is located in Hwa YA Technology Park in Taoyuan, Taiwan. The first fully-automated production line was commissioned at the start of 2008 and has a current capacity of 45 MW per year. To secure sustained and rapid growth, the company invests in its own research and development. Sun Well Solar aims to become one of the key suppliers of silicon-based thin-film modules in the future.
