Sinosol Group is building a roof top photovoltaic plant on the new hangar 7
at Düsseldorf airport on behalf of the Ed. Züblin AG. Up to now the 173 kWp
project is the second-largest roof top project of this kind on a German
airport, after the Munich airport with 457 kWp. The plant is already in
construction and will start operations in 2008. This plant is a grid
connected photovoltaic system, the entire electric energy produced is fed
directly into the grid. The plant consists of monocrystalline
Sunways-modules and Sunways inverters (String technology). The planned
power output is approx. 144.000 kWh per year, which can supply 50
households. In an operating period of 20 years CO2-savings will total
1.800to.
