ralos New Energies AG, Darmstadt, has returned to profitability following a successful turnaround in the 2010 financial year and is reporting EBIT of €7.45 million in its preliminary annual financial statements. At the same time, Chief Executive Officer Albert Klein is leaving the company following the turnaround.
Griesheim – 14 April 2011 – The solar power system manufacturer ralos New Energies AG has published its preliminary annual financial statements for the 2010 financial year. Sales amounted to €123.9 million while EBIT totalled €7.45 million, which is at the upper end of the range of €6.5-7.5 million announced in late 2010. ralos New Energies AG’s return to sustainable profitability was attributable in particular to the successful stabilisation of its business in Germany and the expansion of its international activities.
The company would like to give special thanks to the Chief Executive Officer, Albert Klein, for his part in this achievement. Mr. Klein, who is leaving the company with effect from 30 April 2011, energetically pursued the necessary turnaround following the formation of the new group in 2008/2009. Mr. Klein is leaving the company for personal reasons but will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Rüdiger von Eisenhart-Rothe, has announced that the function of Chief Executive Officer will be temporarily assumed by the Chief Executive Officer, Martin Meurer.
The Management Board will provide further information on key projects and the positive operational performance in the first quarter of 2011, including the group’s financial position, in the near future.
