Ulfert Cornelius takes over the management of Evos Hamburg, a tank terminal for oil and chemical products in the port of Hamburg, on 1st July 2020. Mr Cornelius (52) is an experienced executive, benefiting from 20 years in the tank logistics sector of which 10 years were spent in leadership positions. The tank terminal, then still known as Vopak Dupeg Terminal, was sold to First State Investments (also known as First Sentier Investors) in October 2019. The terminal, established in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg in 1953, offers 149 tanks and a total capacity of 670,000 cbm for various liquid products. Mr Cornelius is confident about his new role: “I’m looking forward to new challenges at Evos Hamburg. Together with the entire crew, I will make sure that our current and future customers can expect an outstanding level of service provision and high standards in safety, sustainability, and efficiency.
