TIER Mobility launches E-Scooter sharing in Germany
– TIER Scooter launches in eight German cities
– Exclusive collaborations with public transportation companies and local partners
– Lawrence Leuschner, CEO of TIER Mobility: “We have a sustainable strategy and a clear vision: less traffic jams and emissions, but more green, flexible mobility.”
Berlin, 21 June 2019 – TIER Mobility, Europe’s leading company for shared micro-mobility services, will launch its e-scooter sharing service in eight German cities tomorrow. In addition to the company’s headquarters in Berlin, TIER e-scooters will also launch in Bonn, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Münster.
E-scooters will strategically be stationed at central transportation hubs and centres such as train and subway stations as well as other busy areas of the city. As it stands now, the fleets are to be expanded in close cooperation with the city authorities to meet their needs.
Lawrence Leuschner, CEO and Co-Founder of TIER Mobility: “We founded TIER Mobility with the vision to change mobility for good – because emissions and traffic jams do not belong in city centres. Together with strong partners, we want to offer alternatives to cars and thus make flexible, emission-free mobility in cities possible. I am very happy that we are finally able to make a significant contribution to the mobility transformation in Germany just like we are already helping to shape the transformation in many European cities.”
Strong partnerships
For its launch in Germany, TIER Mobility has teamed up with strong local public-transit agencies such as BVG in Berlin and MVG in Munich, and with SIXT for a nationwide and international partnership. Through close cooperation and constant exchange with the respective cities authorities, the company paves the way for TIER scooters to become an everyday part of the mobility mix in the cities.
Sustainable and safe
TIER Mobility focuses on sustainability and safety. As a result, TIER scooters have the longest lifespan in the market. Moreover, the scooters in Germany are exceptionally safe and comfortable with three brakes and double suspension. All rides with TIER scooter are covered by liability insurance.
