ADS System – Ergebnisse 1999 ueber Plan. Umsatz um 68 % auf 26,9 Mio. DM
gesteigert. Dividende von 0,03 DM vorgeschlagen.Bad Homburg, 23. Maerz 2000.
Der Netzwerk-Dienstleister ADS System (WKN 514780) konnte seine profitable und
dynamische Entwicklung auch in 1999 fortsetzen. Die Gesamtleistung nach IAS
kletterte um 68 % von 8,2 Mio. EUR (16,0 Mio. DM) auf 13,8 Mio. EUR (26,9 Mio.
DM). Das EBIT stieg von 1,0 Mio. EUR (2,0 Mio. DM) auf 1,66 Mio. EUR (3,25 Mio.
DM) (1,2 Mio. EUR/2,3 Mio. DM Boerseneinfuehrungskosten wurden direkt mit der
Kapitalruecklage verrechnet).
So wurden umfangreiche Schulungsprogramme, u.a.
ein voraussichtlich schwaecheres I. Quartal 2000 erwarten laesst.

ADS System -1999 results top the budget. 68 % sales increase to DM 26.9m.
Dividend of 0.03 DM proposed.Bad Homburg, Germany, March 23rd, 2000. The
Network service company ADS System (security code no. 514780) was able to
continue its profitable and dynamic growth in 1999. The total operating
performance as per IAS rose by 68 % from EUR 8.2m (DM 16m) to EUR 13.8m
(DM 26.9m). The EBIT increased from von EUR 1.0m (DM 2.0m) to EUR 1.66m
(DM 3.25m) (EUR 1.2m /DM 2.3m stock market launch costs were directly offset
against capital reserves). The DVFA/SG result per share rose from EUR 0.08
(DM 0.16) to EUR 0.19 (DM 0.38). Due to the favourable result, a 0.03 DM
dividend is being proposed. From the initial listing on 17th November to
the end of the year, the price of the ADS share climbed to EUR 29.9- a 327%
gain on the issue price (EUR 7). Growth in core business and strengthening
of market position. The strong growth is based on successful development of
the core business – the design and implementation of complex network
solutions. This has enabled ADS System to further consolidate its position
as one of the leading providers of network services. The 44% proportion of
total sales accounted for by services (1998: 49%) is still way above the
15-20 % average in this line of business and is a competitive advantage
which is particularly beneficial to the earnings situation.
Other proceeds came from the reselling of passive technology 22%
(20%) and active components 34% (31%). 51% (54%) of sales were made in
financial services, 31% (26%) in industry. 12% (13%) were made in the service
sector and 6% (7%) from orders from the public sector. A substantial
contribution to this excellent result for 1999 was made by projects in other
countries (e.g. Switzerland and Luxemburg). The share of these projects in
overall sales almost trebled (from 7.5% to approx. 20%). These sales were
invoiced in Germany.
Last year, ADS System’s investments chiefly focused on recruiting and training
staff. Extensive training courses were held, e.g. for system engineers within
the framework of Cisco certifications. By the end of the year the number of
employees had almost doubled, from 60 to 110. Most recruitments were made in
the areas of highly qualified services. Capacities in system engineering and
support were trebled – despite the shortage of IT specialists. The number of
trainees rose from 8 to 20, especially in the new IT professions. As per April
1st, ADS System will have a workforce of 165. This is a result of the new
recruitments in the multiservice business and the takeover of Andacom GmbH,
Hamburg
“We have defined clear goals for the next few years”, emphasized CEO Christoph
Winderling. “We are currently anticipating sales to grow to about EUR 21m
(approx. DM 42m) in the year 2000). While the IT industry is growing by 9-10%
per year, the networks technology sector is enjoying an annual growth of about
40%. Far higher growth rates are even being forecasted in future-oriented areas
such as VoIP or IP over broadband cable”.
The Y2K effect has led to a delay in large-scale network infrastructure
projects. Several projects from the last months of 1999 were postponed or are
still being checked in terms of their realisation. The approval of these
projects is expected for the beginning of the year 2000, which will probably
cause a weaker 1st quarter 2000.
