Dresdner Bank erwirbt Mehrheit an Lombardkasse AG
Die Dresdner Bank AG gibt bekannt, dass sie kurz vor dem
Erwerb von mehr als 80 % der Aktien der Lombardkasse AG,
Frankfurt, steht.
Die Lombardkasse betreibt die Abwicklung von Transaktionen
in- und ausländischer Wertpapiere für über 200
Börsenmakler und Wertpapierhandelshäuser. Ihr Marktanteil
liegt bei gut 20 Prozent am gesamten Ordervolumen für Aktien.
Die Lombardkasse ist eine einzigartige Spezialbank
im deutschen Markt mit über 75-jähriger Tradition.
Mit dem Erwerb führt die Dresdner Bank konsequent die
Strategie fort, ein attraktiver Anbieter von Insourcing-
Dienstleistungen im Transaction Banking zu werden.
Der Unternehmensbereich Transaction Banking der
Dresdner Bank bietet umfassend transaktionsbezogene
Services an und bündelt Vertrieb, Produktion und die
dazugehörige Informationstechnologie unter einem Dach und
gliedert sich in vier Geschäftsfelder. Von diesen erbringt
“Custody Solutions” für internationale und nationale
Finanzintermediäre Dienstleistungen der Wertpapierabwicklung

Dresdner Bank acquires majority stake in Lombardkasse AG
Dresdner Bank AG announces that it is in the process of
finalising the acquisition of at least 80% of the shares
of Lombardkasse AG, Frankfurt.
Lombardkasse handles the processing of transactions in domestic
and international securities for over 200 German stockbrokers
and securities trading houses. It enjoys a 20 percent market
share of the total equities order volume. Lombardkasse is a unique
specialist bank in the German market with a history stretching
back more than 75 years.
The acquisition represents the logical continuation of the bank’s
strategy of improving its range of insourcing services in
transaction banking.
Dresdner Bank’s Transaction Banking division with it’s four
business lines offers a comprehensive range of transaction-related
services and combines relationship management, operations and the
associated information technology. Of these business lines,
“Custody Solutions” is providing securities settlement and
clearing, custody services and a wide range of “value added”
services for international and national financial intermediaries.
