A leading pan-European online travel company, today announces record financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended 31 December 2000. Financial highlights Q4 2000 – Gross sales USD 43.6m (GBP 30.1 m) for the quarter, more than four times Q4 1999 (USD 10.8m, GBP 6.7m) – Consolidated sales USD 36.0m (GBP 24.9m) (Q4 1999: USD 9.3m, GBP 5.7m) – Gross margin of 11.5% (Q4 1999: 11.5%). – Loss per share 4.3 cents (GBP 0.03) (excluding stock compensation costs) – Cash balance at 31st December 2000 USD 50.0m (30 September 2000, USD 51.4m) Full Year 2000 – Gross sales USD 154.1m (GBP 102.2m) for 2000, more than 6 times 1999 (USD 24.9m, GBP 15.4m) – Consolidated sales USD 123.5m (GBP 82.0m) (1999: USD 23.0m, GBP 14.2m) – Gross margin of 11.8% (1999: 11.4%) – Loss per share 20 cents (GBP 0.13) (excluding stock compensation and fund raising costs written off) – Visits to ebookers.com’s websites in 2000 over 25 million, a 10 fold increase on 1999 (approximately 2.5 million) Note: Full Year 2000 and Q4 2000 results include Flightbookers sales contribution of USD 5.7m from date of acquisition, 16 November 2000, to 31 December 2000.
