eJay AG legt vorläufige Zahlen für 2000 vor:
– Rekordergebnisse im 4. Quartal
– Jahresumsatz steigt um rund 400 % auf 10,7 Mio. EUR
– EBIT fällt mit -1,8 Mio. EUR um 45 % besser aus als geplant
Stuttgart, 16. Januar 2001 – Die Stuttgarter eJay AG, Anbieter
März in Stuttgart
veröffentlichen.

_______________________________________________________________
The eJay AG publishes preliminary figures for 2000:
– Record results in the 4th quarter
– Turnover for the year increases by 400% to 10.7 million EUR
– EBIT turns out better than planned with -1.8 million EUR at 45%
Stuttgart, January 16, 2001 – The eJay AG, based in Stuttgart,
Germany, a provider of music software and online music
entertainment, posted a three-digit growth of 396% for the year
2000. From preliminary calculations, turnover increased from
2.7 million EUR in 1999 to 10.7 million EUR and is therefore at
the planned level. Even better were the results before interest
and taxes (EBIT). Instead of the originally planned -3.3
million EUR, the EBIT will only amount to -1.8 million EUR and
therefore be 45% better than expected.
As already reported in the Nine-Month Report, the 4th quarter
was a major contributor to these very good results. A record
turnover of 5.4 million EUR was generated between October and
December 2000 alone (between January and September 2000: 5.3
million EUR). The EBIT for the 4th quarter was clearly in the
positive at 0.7 million EUR (-2.5 million EUR in the first nine
months).
Due to these excellent results, eJay expects this strong growth
to continue for the year 2001. For January, eJay has already
had an increase in orders from Philips and Ericsson among
others.
Extensive details on the business year 2000 will be published
by the eJay AG as a part of their annual press conference on
financial statements on March 21, 2001 in Stuttgart.
