Umsatzsteigerung im 2. Quartal um 27%
Aufwärtstrend bei der mb Software AG
Hameln, 18.11.99 – Die mb Software AG hat im 2. Quartal des
laufenden Geschäftsjahres erwartungsgemäß die Gewinnzone wieder
erreicht.
Tochterunternehmen (RIB Software AG; Venturis GmbH, speedikon

27% Increase in Turnover in the Second Quarter
Upward Trend for mb Software AG
Hameln, 18.11.99 – As had been expected, mb Software AG reached
the winning zone again in the 2nd quarter of the current fiscal
year. After a deficit of 1.88 Mio. Euro had resulted in the
first quarter, the surplus, reached out of ordinary business
activities, now amounts to 0.96 Mio. Euro. A marked improvement
is also to be noted in comparison to the 2nd quarter of the
previous year which was concluded with a loss of 0.9 Mio Euro,
resulting out of ordinary business activities. Results per
share, according to DVFA/SG were also positive with EUR 0.11
for the period reported (1. Quarter: minus 0.30 Euro).
In the second quarter, the turnover of mb Software AG has been
back on a growth course: sales climbed to 8.156 Mio. Euro,
being more than 27% above figures reached during the 1st
quarter and 10% above those reached in the second quarter
1998/99.
Even though in the first half of the current fiscal year (until
March 31, 2000). a deficit of 0.92 Mio. Euro and a drop in
sales down to 14.576 Mio. Euro (half year of previous year
17.647 Mio. Euro) were incurred, the second half promises to
show a continuous upward trend.
Sales and results of the newly affiliated companies (RIB
Software AG; Venturis GmbH, speedikon Facility Management AG and
COSOBA GmbH) are not yet incorporated into the figures for the
current quarter. Consolidation will take place in the 3rd quarter
after the General Shareholders’ Meeting has approved the takeovers on
October 4, 1999 and the purchasing contracts have been duly
entered in the commercial register.
The “as if”-point of view leads, even for the first 6 months,
to a 54% increase in turnover, namely 27.231 Mio Euro. For the
whole fiscal year, a sales surplus of 86.5% to 61.733 Mio. Euro
is aimed for, taking into consideration the newly acquired
companies.
Also, mb Software expects that investments made in the Internet
business segment will bear fruit and bring in profit already by
the third quarter.
“Next to expanding its core business of developing software for
the AEC-market,” said Bernhard Mursch, Chairman of the Board,
“mb Software AG will use its know-how to conquer the market-
place of the future, namely the Internet service providers.”
Contributing to the positive outlook is the steady advance of
the O2C-technology which was developed by mb. O2C stands for
‘objects to see’ and is a new technology for representing 3D-
objects in the internet, highly compact and with a high factor
of speed. This new technology opens totally new possibilities
for the Internet Business in product representation and
information.
