During the meeting with the surpervisory board and the m+s board the course was set in order to put the new strategy into practice and to become the IT Solution Provider of the future. In view of the strategical new focus of the m+s group it was decided to resolve the participation portfolio. The DRV Dreieich KG and the EDV Service KG will be united to one functional unit. The arising restructional costs of approx. 25 Mio. DM will increase the cash flow of the current fiscal year through a tax effect by approx. 13 Mio DM. These additional means shall be used for further acquisitions in the eCommerce field. This extraordinary balance effect has no influence on the operative targets such as turnover (1,2 billion DM) and EBITDA (43,1 Mio. DM) of the m+s. With Dr. Joseph REGER an internationally approved and very well- known expert takes over the department “corporate strategy” as well as the department “ebusiness center”. Before, the 43 year old doctor of physics acted as Chief Technical Officer with Fujitsu Siemens Germany and as a member of the extended management he has been in charge of the strategic marketing. Furthermore, the supervisory board agreed to fill four positions for regional managers. Three of the four positions shall be filled with completely new employees. Herewith, the basis for the new strategy to be put in to practice shall be strengthend. On suggestion of the board, the position “director corporate communication” has been created and shall shortly be filled with an expert in this field.
