Prodacta sells Valuesoft
. Prodacta sells telematics subsidiary to IP telephony
specialist
. Major step in successful restructuring program
. Fall in revenues expected for H2/2000
Ettlingen, September 27, 2000 As announced, Prodacta AG has
divested Valuesoft GmbH. The Ettlingen-based IT services
provider is selling its subsidiary, located in Kirchheim near
Munich, to Marburg company TEDAS AG.
The sale sees Prodacta taking a further key step in the
successful implementation of its restructuring concept. As part
of this restructuring, the company is focusing on its core
competencies, IT services and proprietary products, primarily
in the Microsoft environment. The services offering of all-
round solutions provider Prodacta ranges from the development
of e-business-enabled infrastructures through the
implementation of messaging systems to integrated document and
customer relationship management solutions.
Valuesoft’s IP router products are not directly related to the
current core activities of the Prodacta Group. Following its
acquisition by IP telephony specialist TEDAS, Valuesoft now has
good prospects for further development, and buying Valuesoft
means that TEDAS can complement its own product range and
appreciably expand its capacities. Valuesoft’s 30-odd staff
will continue to be employed by TEDAS.
Prodacta expects that the sale of Valuesoft will cut sales
revenues for H2/2000, and is examining opportunities for
cushioning the expected revenue shortfall by boosting sales
efforts in other business units.
