SAP SI achieves record quarterly revenues of over EUR 60 million
SAP Systems Integration AG continued its positive development during the first
quarter of 2001. Bucking the general trend within the industry sector, the
extremely good quarterly revenues recorded during Q4 2000 (EUR 56.6 million)
climbed even further to EUR 60.1 million. Compared with Q1 2000, which was weak
due to the conclusion of Y2K projects, revenues increased by 65.1%. Around 90%
(EUR 54.1 million) of revenues in Q1 2001 was accounted for by the segment
Consulting & Project Management, 8% (EUR 4.7 million) by Outsourcing &
Application Services and 2% (EUR 1.3 million) by the Product segment.
At EUR 8.8 million, the operating profit before goodwill amortization was more
than double that of the same quarter in the previous year (EUR 3.4 million). SAP
SI thus recorded an operating profit margin of almost 15%. The consolidated net
income was EUR -5.7 million, compared with EUR -9.3 million for the same period
in the previous year. This results in earnings per share before goodwill
amortization of EUR 0.16 (2000: EUR 0.06), and of EUR -0.16 (2000: EUR -0.26)
after goodwill amortization. The workforce increased by 23% to 1,389 people.
Financial statements as contained in this quarterly report have been prepared
“pro forma” and according to US GAAP, and include SAP SI’s subsidiaries in
Switzerland and the USA.
