– agiplan TechnoSoft AG increases first-half sales by around 47%
– Order intake up 60% on previous year
– Earnings still negative due to high development expenses and acquisition
effects
Mülheim an der Ruhr, August 22, 2002 – Despite an unfavorable environment,
agiplan TechnoSoft AG – Germany`s leading supplier of software and consulting
services for facility management (FM) – recorded significant growth for both
sales and order intake during the first six months of fiscal year 2002 compared
to the same period of the previous year.
The company increased its order intake to EUR 4,830 thousand, up by 60.4% on the
first half of 2001. Revenue as of June 30, 2002 totaled EUR 3,653 thousand, up
47.3% on the previous year (EUR 2,480 thousand). The company increased total
operating revenue by 45.3% to EUR 4,583 thousand (previous year EUR 3,154
thousand). This means that agiplan TechnoSoft AG has even exceeded the growth
recorded in the first six months of last year.
During the first six months, the company recorded a gross profit of EUR 4,136
thousand compared to EUR 3,054 thousand in the previous year. This corresponds
to growth of 35.4%. EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) totaled EUR -467
thousand, compared to EUR +266 thousand in the previous year. EBT decreased to
EUR -425 thousand (previous year: EUR +349 thousand), and the earnings per share
(DVFA/SG) totaled EUR -0.07, compared to EUR +0.06 in the first half of 2001.
The result was especially depressed by the personnel and development costs for
the announced new software generation, which will be presented during the Expo
Real trade fair in October, as well as by additional expenses from integrating
Hochtief Software GmbH`s IFMC software division, which was acquired in January.
The focus during the second half of the year is on cutting costs in order to
improve the operating result. This is why the Managing Board has launched a
program to optimize its sales and consulting resources and to slim down the
organizational structure.
