According to the preliminary Q2 financial results specialized consumer credit
bank BIGBANK AS Lithuanian branch remains profitable. The branch showed profit
of 1.3 million LTL during the Q2. 

BIGBANK AS Lithuanian branch total assets amounted to 55.4 million LTL by the
end of Q2 2009 in comparison with 52.4 million LTL in the end of Q1. The
increase of loan portfolio in Q2 was higher (7.7%) in comparison with Q1 (0.1%)
and reached 51.5 million LTL by the end of Q2. Loan portfolio increased by 7.8%
during the first half of year 2009. Interest income for Q2 amounted to 4.2
million LTL and other income amounted to 1.2 million LTL. During the first half
of year 2009, interest income reached 8.3 million LTL and other income amounted
to 2.5 million LTL. 

The branch showed profit of 1.3 million LTL during the Q2 and formed the 2.2
million LTL profit in the first half of 2009. „We have optimized our internal
resources, we are executing conservative credit policy and actively working
with customers having financial difficulties, therefore we managed to reach
positive financial results in Q2. Also responding to market changes we
introduced to Lithuanian market new loan product based on real estate
guarantee. “- said Rolandas Norvilas the head of BIGBANK AS Lithuanian branch. 

During the first half of 2009 BIGBANK AS Lithuanian branch optimized its office
network - three new offices were opened in Kaunas, Šiauliai and Marijampol? and
one office in Vilnius was closed. As of 30 June 2009 the Group had 30 offices
all over the 
Baltics, of which 11 offices were located in Estonia, 9 in Latvia and 10 in
Lithuania.

relation to financial information published by Lithuanian Bank. BIGBANK AS
publishes consolidated financial results for the Q2 customarily on the last
working day of second month after the end of the quarter.
