ComputerLinks AG, the Neuer Markt quoted IT marketing company, achieved group
turnover of 40 million euro in the second quarter 2002, an increase of 7.8
percent compared with the first quarter this year. Earnings before interest,
taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) was 2.25 million euro in the
second quarter 2002 compared to 2.19 million euro in the first quarter. The cash
flow from operations was 5.8 million euro for the first 6 months, 7.1 million
euro ahead of the comparable period last year.
Group turnover was 77 million euro in the first six months of the current
business year (2001: 80 million euro). EBITDA was 4.4 million euro (2001: 6.1
million euro). Gross margins showed an encouraging increase to 21.3 percent in
the second quarter of 2002, against 20.9 percent in the comparable quarter of
the previous year.
After planned depreciation of 3.1 million euro, earnings before taxes (EBT) was
1.2 million euro in the first half of 2002. Earnings per share (EPS) was 0.41
euro before goodwill amortisation and 0.00 euro after goodwill amortisation,
based on 5,857,220 shares. In the comparable period of the previous year, EBT
was 3.0 million euro, EPS before goodwill amortisation was 0.63 euro and 0.23
euro after goodwill amortisation (in relation to 5,847,520 shares).
The second quarter of the current business year, showing increasing sales in all
subsidiaries with stable gross margins, was even more encouraging than the
first quarter. On the whole, ComputerLinks expects the economic conditions in
the remaining half of the year to be comparable to those of the first six months
of 2002. Our subsidiaries are winning medium-sized projects, but large-scale
projects are still rare or being postponed to subsequent quarters.
As in previous quarters the most important performer was the e-security sector
which increased sales from 25.9 million euro in the first quarter of 2002 to
28.2 million euro in the second quarter, 70.3 percent of total sales.
