The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Dr. Reto Francioni changes to Consors Discount-Broker AG Supervisory Board Dr. Reto Francioni, together with Karl Matthäus Schmidt co-CEO of Nuremberg- based Consors Discount-Broker AG, retires by best mutual agreement from the Board of Management with immediate effect. Dr. Francioni will be appointed to the company’s Supervisory Board, and Consors Discount-Broker AG will continue to benefit from his experience in the development of the European subsidiaries. He will occupy the seat vacated by Supervisory Board Member Hartmut Bergemann. Dr. Francioni is also appointed to the Board of Directors of the Swiss subsidiary of SchmidtBank GmbH & Co. KGaA, Hof. This change in the function of Dr. Francioni is also to be seen in connection with his appointment as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Schweizer Börse AG. Dr. Francioni’s former responsibilities will be assumed by CEO Karl Matthäus Schmidt in future. Consors CFO, Dr. Uwe Schroeder-Wildberg, will be appointed Deputy Executive Spokesman. Dr. Francioni joined Consors Discount-Broker AG as CEO in April 2000 and was mainly responsible for the international subsidiaries. He was formerly Deputy Chairman of the Deutsche Börse Executive Board in Frankfurt/Main. In comparison with its competitors, Consors quickly grew internationally and within a few months achieved leading market positions. Dr. Francioni restructured the international business over the past months and adjusted it to the changed market situation.
