The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Kleindienst: Revenues and result significantly improved in H1 2002 In the first half of 2002, the Kleindienst Datentechnik group has generated revenues of EUR 36.8 million and an EBIT of EUR plus 0.1 million. Revenues are accordingly EUR 5.0 million up compared with last year’s figure, and the corresponding improvement in EBIT is EUR 6.6 million. The consolidated operating result is stated as EUR plus 0.3 million, an improvement of EUR 6.9 million compared with last year. However, the operating result in H1 2001 has been impacted by a scheduled goodwill amortization of EUR 0.6 million. This did not apply in 2002 as a result of changes according to US GAAP SFAS No. 142. The positive performance in operating result is attributable to the following: Enterprise Systems has made a contribution of EUR 1.5 million to operating income (last year: EUR minus 1.9 million), due to the continuing success of restructuring and additional margins attributable to higher revenues. DATASEC, which was sold as of 30 December 2001, had a very negative impact on group earnings last year (EUR minus 2.4 million). The holding company (Aktiengesellschaft) has reduced its loss by EUR 1.2 million compared with last year. In Outsourcing Service, the contribution to operating result is stated at the same level as last year, namely EUR 0.1 million; however, the managing board expects that the full twelve-month period in 2002 will see growth in revenues and earnings. Net debt of the group declined from EUR 13.2 million to EUR 6.4 million in H1. Overall, the managing board has again re-affirmed its expectation that the company will be able to meet its financial targets specified for 2002 – approx. 5% increase in consolidated revenues and a positive operating result as well as a positive EBIT.
