The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Kleindienst announces results as of June 30 In the first half of 2003, Kleindienst Datentechnik AG generated consolidated revenues of EUR 32.3 million and an operating result of EUR minus 0.2 million. This corresponds to a drop in revenues of EUR 4.5 million and in operating income of EUR 0.5 million year-on-year. EBIT amounted to EUR minus 0.5 million (previous year: EUR 0.1 million). At EUR 25.8 million, revenues in the Enterprise Systems operating segment were down EUR 6.5 million on the same period of 2002. The main reason for this are the unsatisfactory developments abroad, with the exception of the Company’s US business. The operating result in the Enterprise Systems operating segment was therefore lower than in the previous year, although systematic cost structure optimization clearly limited this decline. Due to the poor development of its foreign business, the Company implemented internal measures to improve the current situation, which are expected to start bearing fruit from Q4 onwards. Revenues in the Outsourcing Service operating segment rose substantially by EUR 2.6 million year-on-year to total EUR 7.8 million (an increase of around 50%). This is mainly attributable to the new customers that the Company acquired in the past year. The increased revenues were matched by a clear improvement in the result for Outsourcing Service operating segment, despite non-recurring expenses recorded in H1. Based on developments to date, the Managing Board expects consolidated revenues to fall by around 5% in the course of this fiscal year. However, the significant improvements made to the cost structure mean that the Board expects to achieve its target of a clearly positive EBIT.
