Frankfurt/Main, 1 December 2008 – In light of the worsening economic
conditions, the Management Board of Klöckner-Werke AG feels itself obliged
to revise its previous guidance for 2008 with regard to matching the
previous year's earnings level (consolidated EBIT 2007: €52.4 million).
Although the Group's operating earnings were in line with the previous
year's level in the first nine months of the year, according to current
estimates the consolidated net income for the year will be significantly
less than in the previous year.
